Yokai Kitchen

Yokai Kitchen is an SRPG where you play the owner of a very special restaurant, located in the fantasy spirit kingdom. Your kitchen is run by the Yokai, the same beings who also want to enjoy the delicious food you serve.

The gameplay in Yokai Kitchen is pretty fun since it's divided into three very different parts: managing the restaurant, hunting monsters that will give you ingredients, and managing your farm. To advance in the game, you'll have to put all your effort into each one of these areas. Spoiler alert: they're all super fun!

The game primarily revolves around your restaurant. You have to choose the furniture, decorate it, and select the chefs who will be cooking for customers. You can teach your chefs new recipes so they improve their skills and thus, serve the best delicacies possible. However, to serve the best dishes, you'll need to get ingredients in the different combat missions.

The battle system is the same as in other RPGs: your Yokais will attack automatically, although you'll have to choose the best moment to use their special attacks. These chefs will level up as they advance through the different missions, which will directly affect their skills in the kitchen. Plus, there are also some quests that are turn-based and that will give you access to new species that you can raise on your farm.

Yokai Kitchen is an excellent SRPG. It's a title that combines multiple concepts from different genres to become a total mix, making it one of a kind. It's similar to Food Fantasy, although here you have a gorgeous 3D graphics engine. Plus, you have tons of Yokais to discover through the typical gacha system.
